My soul’s albums

There is something exceptionally magical about an album you can listen to start to finish, no skips. I have certain albums that have followed me no matter where I go in my music-listening journeys. You know what I mean right? There are just some cds that you will never get over and you can just listen to over and over and over. Some of them are just unquestionably GREAT ALBUMS, while some are more speaking-to-my-soul type albums, but you can decide which is which if you listen to them all.

This is one of those phenomena things in life that is unexplainably perfect and makes me cry when I think about it. I should have a different segment: things that just make me cry when I think about them just because of how they intrinsically are.

I’ll never be able to explain how wonderful these albums are and the impact they have on me, and I blame the English language for that. But anyway, I’d love if you gave one of these albums (maybe two!) a listen.

Here they are, in a very particular order:
Girls and Boys – Ingrid Michaelson
A Rush of Blood to the Head – Coldplay
Mean Everything to Nothing – Manchester Orchestra
Melophobia – Cage the Elephant
Dopamine – Borns
Head or Heart – Christina Perri
Franz Ferdinand – Franz Ferdinand
Hozier – Hozier
Out of the Blue – Electric Light Orchestra
Heavier Things – John Mayer
Welcome Interstate Managers – Foundations of Wayne
Pure Heroine – Lorde
Ringo – Ringo Starr
Infinite Arms – Band of Horses
Turnstiles – Billy Joel
Warning – Green Day
(What’s the Story) Morning Glory? – Oasis
Obviously not comprehensive, not set in stone, not the only things I can listen to. I still have to be in the mood for these albums, but most of the time, I am in the mood for these albums.

Let them soak into your gd soul.
